Revel is really truly in deep crap, I hate to say..... I do not understand or even begin to know what the hell the powers that BEE were thinking opening this monstrosity when and how they did.... The original conception, design and plan was conceived and implemented originally in 2005, back when things were radically and TRAGICALLY different than they are today.....Pressure from the Governor's office, the city and investors to PUSH PUSH PUSH through and open the half finished place obviously played a part in this, but clearly they were dreaming in terms of what they hoped to achieve and clear in terms of revenue.  I dont know where to begin, there are so many things wrong here and so many flaws and causes for concern.... The Revel needed to clear 45 million a month in Revenue OUT OF THE GATE when it opened officially on Memorial day to meet its projections and obligations, but so far it is averaging not even HALF that amount (they are in eigth place out of 11 in Revenue.   This is obviously the biggest error made by the "brains" in opening and operating it....In order to meet this goal, substantial NEW business must be drawn in the the AC market and this has not happened at all....in fact, looking at the numbers from Aqueduct's "Racino" the past 3 months, Aqueduct has grossed more revenue than ALL the Atlantic City casinos COMBINED!!!   Combined!!!!!!!    wtf?     This means Revel is just eating other AC casinos' slices of the pie and not making its own slice....this is really bad news for all of AC, made even worse now that Summer is essentially over.      I've been to Revel breifly a couple times. just to play the free play they gave me from being a Caesars Diamond Player.   There is nothing there that is compelling me to return and spend some serious money, nothing special at all.....I cannot fathom how that place is going to survive in the cold winter days of January thru March.... Their only hope is if, Right now, they do a mass marketing Ad campaign from Maine over southern Canada, all the way over to Buffalo and down south into Virginia and offer anyone arriving from these distant locales free rooms and slot play when they show their ID upon checkin registration, and add a sweetener to people from NYC to get them away from the Racino and onto the NJ Turnpike for a visit to AC.    But they wont.....it is surreal.

I received an invite for a comped room till 9/30, $100 for food and $500 slot play. Trying to tack it on to one of our regular trips to taj as they dnot allow smoking and we are people that like to smoke when gambling. I think to get the large Asian gambling community in there they need to allow smoking SOMEWHERE. I know most people are thrilled that its non-smoking but I think its hurting their bottom line.
