Trump would need to find some OPM (Other People's Money) to put where his Tweet is.

He probably will. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't add a Helipad to the roof if there isn't one there already. Haven't been to A/C in nearly 20 years so I don't even know if they are allowed down there.

There's a helipad on the top floor of the parking garage. There is also on out on the end of the pier for helicopter ride. I don't think the Plaza has one. Here's the article. http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/news ... f8349.html

He had a pad on the roof of the parking garage at the Trump Castle. Watched him land many times from our room. You would know he was coming when four guys black suits would assemble on the roof.

While I agree with Doris, that Trump is pretty much an a-hole and has as many bad points as good, IF.....IF he is serious, and IF he is willing to do what needs to be done, he could make one or both of the old casinos modestly successful again, given time. And I stress the word MODESTLY.......The article Jimdeuce cited has yet another guy (this Norton fellow) lamenting how atlantic city is seemingly in a no win situation with all these "other" casinos located throughout the area and bordering states. I am so sick of people just using this as the end-all-be-all of the discussion and not looking deeper into the situation....I have said many times that AC could, if they really tried, give all these other casinos some stiff competition RIGHT BACK AT THEM if they would do what needs to be done to attract all the players who they apparently lost the last 7 years. Loosen the machines.....get REAL generous with the comps and slot play and all that.....advertise advertise advertise that you have done so.....remind everyone that AC is a destination with its beach and boardwalk, as opposed to all these Single casinos located peppered throughout Pennsylvania and NY state, where you drive, play a few hours and dump your cash, then drive back home busted. AC offers a lot more than that. One of the real reasons people stopped going to AC was NOT simply that a casino had opened up "just down the street from them"...it was AC was stagnant with its service and quality to begin with, they took for granted the customers they had and pissed a lot of people off. If you look at AC's decline in revenue, the first initial decline could easily be attributed to the economy crashing in 2007/2008....then, not at all at once but steadily, year after year, the numbers declined, because AC pretty much just GAVE UP. I know, because I started going to AC when this started happening, in 2009 and the service and quality everywhere (except Borgata) tanked. and is it any surprise that Borgata is the only AC casino that has been legitimately profitable>>?????

I guess that may be a tough call..cough choke...for this billionaire. Do you suck out most everything in the way of big salary, bonuses, profit sharing, etc. from your MODESTLY successful new venture or do you leave most of the money there plowing it back into the business and maybe making it the absolute best casino in A/C. Then down the road sell it for an enormous profit and or retain some stake in it as well. Given Trump's age ( about 2 years older than me ) and the time it will take to put this together and reap something from it, I predict the former will happen if he does follow through with the deal.
