Borgata Booking policy

FYI:    Borgata is the only AC property which charges your credit card for a deposit the MOMENT you book a room!    To my knowledge, no other AC property currently actually charges your reservation deposit.Obviously, most hotel/casinos require a credit card to book a room, but only Borgata actually charges you the first night as a deposit pending your arrival.I had originally booked Super Bowl Sunday (feb 1)  and also February 22, 2 different reservations.    My room rate was not comped, but was still pretty low (49 bucks a night)    I had 2 different charges on my credit card for about 57 bucks each....since I recently cancelled the Super Bowl sunday room my card was refunded that nights deposit......On the other extreme, booking online at the TAJ requires NO credit card at all!    And yet in CET AC properties, you must submit a credit card when booking, but they do not actually charge any amount!Anyone ever have a problem with SUBSTANTIAL sums being tied up in reservation DEPOSITS, in AC or even VEGAS or elsewhere???
