Good information Fatz, it seems that online gaming in New jersey still isn't doing the trick though. But PokerStars has teamed up with resorts and that could increase business a bit though.   Point of fact: internet gaming revenue in New Jersey is only bringing in about half the number that was originally being kicked around so that is a disappointment.   Point of fact: Michael Shackleford is against the UIGEA and this could be the reason why he would be willing to take up the flag for someone who may have a gripe with "Bovada."   Ultimate Gaming is owned by Stations Casinos so this means Fertitta. The Fertitta company that owns Ultimate Gaming is listed as a creditor in the Taj Mahal b/r and they are, obviously , pulling out of New Jersey for the time being. But people inside the state limits of New Jersey may still be able to gamble on the Ultimate Gaming site if there is a reciprocal agreement between New Jersey and Nevada.    The United States settled with the WTO after sanctions were put into place against the United States but they were settled without changing the current UIGEA laws.    So, point of fact: Bovada doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies.

In a recent BLOG post.. Kinda looks like Bovada is bogus in NJ..

http://www.osga.com/wordpress/offshore- ... es-nj.html

June 20, 2014 UPDATE: Bovada has also decided to leave the two other regulated U.S. markets, Nevada and Delaware. Players in these two states will no longer be able to create new accounts on the Bovada website.

Current customers in the three states are still able to play but are now unable to make new deposits. Visitors from NJ, DE and NV are now unable to sign-up. The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement is certainly getting the job done in New Jersey, at least as far as driving out the competition. Just 10 days ago letters were sent to six online affiliates doing business in the New Jersey online gambling market telling them to remove any links to online gaming sites that “are not authorized under federal law or under the law of any State.”
Included in the letter were the specific website that the DGE was targeting, amongst them Americas Card Room and Bovada.

Someone told me about Bovada and so I checked it out. Using only their "practice" games and not their "for money" games, and giving them the benefit of the doubt by playing a massive number of hands off and on in 9 non-consecutive days, I reached the conclusion that their RNG is jiggered. There is no other way to explain my dismal results. All of my sessions were losers, and they were not just slight losers. I never once received a quad in 9 lengthy sessions, not a single premium hand, nothing. I had a scattering of full houses and plenty of treys, but that was it. And before someone tells me I had bad luck, no, impossible to play as many hands as I did and have results like that over such a length of time.

I'm guessing Bovada tried to get sneaky and get players to sign up in states where online gaming was legal but they got caught? Unless federal law changes, theUIGEA is still in effect except for those states that enact their own regulations, with Nevada and New Jersey being the two examples at the forefront.

And before someone tells me I had bad luck, no, impossible to play as many hands as I did and have results like that over such a length of time.It is definitely rigged.......the video poker offered NEVER gives anything except pairs and treys and an infrequent straight or flush.....its almost comical.   Well I was told a couple months ago by a floor boss from Harrahs that such a site as Bovada WAS legal for New Jersey residents to access, and I admit I assumed it would be.Obviously this is not the case......I originally joine dBovada a long time ago and used it primarily for the POKER against other HUMAN players (like Minn fatz described.)    Even that portion of the site was fishy in that our games and hands ALWAYS seemed to progress in such a way that the RAKE was always MAXED out......in order for that to happen, each hand had two or more players catching a really strong hand and thus betting like crazy and driving up the pots and rake.   This means then, that the RNG for poker is essentially not random either. As someone was VERY happy (almost ecstatic and overjoyed) to point out, losing 390 bucks on my part means I am SOL since shackleford sold his site.    Oh well....

There's a sucker born every minute? And you just jumped into Bovada without research first? Without seeing if it were even LEGAL?    Oops...   As for the $390.00, if you were refering to me why don't you try getting the money from Shackleford now that he's bucks up?

No....and NOI joined Bovada way back when it was BODOG and before Black friday so you can curtail and limit your GLEE over my apparent misfortune...when it change to Bovada my account just transitioned.    Man you are really limited in imagination.....And what does it say exactly about someone who expresses REAL JOY on a website devoted to video poker and casino gambling  that another member LOSES money????See, you can pussyfoot all you want about your true nature and intent and feelings Ted, but like I told you WE all know what you are.

I seem to remember that Bodog was shut down so how can it "transition" to Bovada?
Bodog was shut down by ICE.   I did just see that websites that end in the .lv are Latvia based web sites but I swear that Harrahs host said it was legal in New Jersey...
