Stay on one machine - don't change games - bring a lot of money

Know and play only the best games. Know and play optimal strategy. Know and place only the best bets. Make as few bets as possible (few larger vs. many smaller). Define a win limit and a loss limit and stick to it. Avoid playing tired, hungry, drunk, angry, etc. Don't play for comps.

For a single session luck has a lot to do with the actual return. However, flipping a coin a million times and you will get roughly same numbers of heads or tails assuming the coin is not biased.

The long term return has nothing to do with luck.

Some of the responses in this thread are spot on. Others are posted by well-meaning players who do not understand how to win. Part of the learning process is learning which is which.

Any strategy that includes changing machines or not, the number of hands you are playing, how much luck is involved, win and/or loss limits is not a winning one. The winning process has nothing to do with any of these things.
