9/6 jacks or better

Post by wheatman »

Is there currently anywhere in the country where you can have an advantage playing 9/6 jacks or better after taking in consideration comps, promo offers, cash back etc...?

If you are 55+ years old, and play at Main Street Station in Las Vegas with a Sapphire or higher card on Young at Heart Days, 9/6 JOB is a positive game. The game itself is 99.54%, the Young at Heart promotion adds 0.55%, and their scratch card promotion adds an additional 0.4% (if you are playing quarters).

What’s the scratch card promotion at Main Steet Station?

If the final result of your hand is four of a kind, or better, you can request a scratch card from a slot attendant. It has a window that you then scratch off to determine the card's value. Most often, you find it's worth $2, but there are many $1 ones, as well as a smaller number of higher value ones. You have 24 hours within which to redeem the card at the casino cashier window.

It doesn't sound like a very lucrative promotion, but, it is surprising how much they add up to on a good day.

On Mon-Thurs 3 a.m. - 2:59 a.m. South Point has a virtual spin for every $2,000 coin-in --- limit four per day. Spins average about $12. for 9/6 Job, your loss for $2,000 is $10. Slot club pays you $6 per $2,000. It's a positive 9/6 JoB play --- not huge, but positive

Four Queens promotion that I've discussed twice in recent posts. It's a 1.25% promotion, plus normal 0.125% slot club

Do you have to call the attendant or the system can automatically detect the qualified hand for the beer?
