Quick end of the semester trip Sunday and Monday to Golden Nugget. Sweet C and I took a co-worker with us. Unfortunately, Lake Charles was encountering a horrible deluge (12-15 inches of rain) on top of the recent hurricane which devastated the area. As a result, many GN employees were able to come into work and it took 5 hours for our rooms to be ready. As a result, we were forced to play while we waited. Our timing was really off and the hits weren't coming. Luckily, we had set reservations at Salt Grass last week. We got in and while there was a 3 hour wait since only 3 wait staff made it in. Our waitress, Gabby, one of our favorites, was awesome in lieu of the shortage and having had her car flood out enroute to work.
After a nice meal, we be got our rooms and began to play again. This time the timing seemed to be getting better. By the third 4 to a Royal and no hit I was getting frustrated. I was switching between DW, DWB and Bonus. When this jewel popped up my first thought was, "oh boy, another 4 RF-maybe I'll catch one". Then the machine froze up. Brought home a nice bankroll after pushing my luck the rest of the night and then Monday night. Luckily, I caught 2 4 deuces to help out. Voucher at the bottom was a quick verification.
Third dealt Royal in 17 months.

Ditto. Borrowing from an old commercial......you deserve a break today....and you got one in Spades!!! That McDonald’s commercial is still on youtube. Among other jobs, worked there from 1965-1969. They wanted to send me to hamburger college and buy a franchise and forget UCONN. Made 1.25 an hour back then. Minimum wage. Anyway, back to your hit LL. Love to see those dealt ones.

Ah, yes. The dealt ones. My investment was .8LL and yielded .25LL. Guess that’s why he’s lucky.

I personally thought it was a good hold on my part.
I had time tonight, after completing semester closeout, to review our previous dealt royals. We now 18 dealt between us and I'm up 10-8 on Sweet C with the last 3 being mine. So here's hoping she catches one soon. This hand also brought our total Royals 25¢ or higher denomination to 280 royals. We don't count/document all the less than 25¢ royals which would number 4-5-6 times more since we used to play millions of 2¢/5¢ hands in multi-hands draws.
I hope all of you get a dealt royal sometime in your playing time.
