Re: advantage found after 3 years
Being a younger player myself me and my wife have noticed basically everyone we see grinding away is older. Kind of worries me that once that generation is no longer in the casino VP will be done. I’m sure this has something to do with all the creation of the new bonus style games trying to catch the younger players attention. These games have a very complex strategy though so the casino probably likes that. The only crazy positive play I ever found was back in the coin drop era. The machine would spit out multiple extra coins every payout no matter if it was 5 coins. We hit it for like 2 weeks. One epic trip they hopper filled it like 4 times. It would stick and pump coins not counting them. They caught it quickly and it was gone. Didn’t feel that guilty because this same casino had plenty of machines that would fail to count your coin in.

Exactly. When I started, I think most of the machines accepted bills (or coins), but they all paid out in coins only. Machines that only accepted coins were really annoying and slow to play.pokerforme wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 10:23 amDidn’t feel that guilty because this same casino had plenty of machines that would fail to count your coin in.
Machines such as the one you encountered were sometimes called overpayers. I never really found any of those. Sometimes I would play every machine at a bar and scoop up leftover coins from the hidden coin-return trays underneath.
I also notice mostly old folks at the vp machines, but I like to play daytime, weekdays. Hopefully the kids come out at night and on weekends.

Odds442jetaway I agree with you. I try my best to look over pay tables before I start to play. It takes a little time. But two seats over you find a 8/5 Bonus Poker while everything else is 6/5. It makes sense to play that 8/5. I wish I could find a 9/6 JOB!

You’re not missing much, if anything. Today I grinded away on 9/6 JOB at two casinos. I finally hit a $240 quad on poor 8/6 BPD and went home a happy camper. You’ll break even or close once they come around, but who knows when or if that happens?

Unfortunately, up and down the dwindling rows of vp players, you will see grey hair or no hair for the most part. In my case, you will see both.
