New machines unplayable.

I ran a simulation of 100,000 hands on my computer with the standard odds. In 100,000 dealt hands, there were 247 streaks of 20 or more non-winning dealt hands.

The longest streak was a massive 51! That's once in 100,000 so it shouldn't happen to many of us! Unless you play 100,000 hands. Then you're going to suffer this terror once in a while.

Ran it again and the max was 43 in a row, with 258 at 20 or more.

Ran it again and the max was 41 with 255 awful streaks.

Ran it once at a MILLION reps... the worst was SIXTY SIX NON-WINNERS IN A ROW! With 2549 terrible runs over 20.

Again, that 66 is very very rare. 1 in a million. But if you play a million hands and keep track of this sort of thing, at some point you are almost certainly going to have a MONSTER dry spell without a dealt winner.

That is great information. Thanks for the test. I play about 2 million hands a year and have never had 61 dud streaks so in a sense I am lucky. I think I am going to have to slow down my Martingale clone way of playing in light if this. I’m actually at the casino now playing. I am not playing JOB but an going to double anyway the number of losses I endure before raising my bets and see what happens.

I live in South Florida and my favorite casino just down-graded the comps we get from video poker versus the slots and has just this week made it so you cannot use your free play on video poker machines...only slots. I don't see it getting better, only worse.

played 2 different models in 2 weeks and the results are in
last week my 400 credit in quarters lasted from 5:08am til 8:20 am playing bonus poker 6/5 96.83
today new machine with bonus poker where all 4oak pays 175, my 725 credit roll lasted from 3:52 to 5:20pm

so here we are 400 credit roll on older type machine lasted 3hours 96.89machine
and 725 credit roll lasted about an 1hr and 30min on newer type machine 97.35
i did get a nice draught cycle and hardly a three of a kind/two pair type of run on the newer model.
i did get a fair share of 4oak on newer model and i did get some 4oak on older model but no 4 aces or 4 2s,3s,4s

that newer model has to have a different RNG engine in it over the older model getting different results more times than not atleast short term

Thanks to eduardo and steve. You are doing what i am incapable of doing!!
Of course the jury is still out on what is going on here, but maybe the importance of this issue to all of us is valid enough reason for others to build on your work.

I am still trying to find out who verifies the legality of the RNG in my home casino. The IGRC has not responded to requests for info. Still digging.

i know its not a detailed record nor is it a large sample size but its not the first time the newer model vacuumed up my bankroll in such short order

Yeah. Your tiny, and I mean TINY, sample size is meaningless.

But, the older machine has never, ever, done that?

im sure it has done that but times it does vs the times it doesn't makes me avoid the newer model altogether i did give it 1 last shot last monday and again 400 credit roll lasted solid 3hr and 725 credit roll on a higher return percentage game lasted 1hr 30min, i believe i did get 1 4 of a kind that pays 175 within that 725 credit roll but after that last 4oak my bankroll plummet to hell and vacuumed up by the nasty draught pattern

im gonna go ahead and avoid new machines and stick with what i know
