No, I have never sold cars, new or used. I have a degree in accounting but decided to pursue a career in sales early on so I would not have to work so hard to make my fortune. Along the way I discovered you can make a lot more money owning the business rather than working for somebody else. Little did I know that you would have to put in all the hours I was trying to avoid by not directly using my accounting degree. In the end it paid off. I still admire and have a healthy respect for professional salespeople everywhere.
Good sales people are the most valuable asset a company has. They are by far the highest paid, hardest to find and most under appreciated workers in the country. In my business we call them rainmakers.

In America, unless you are a government worker of some kind, your compensation is not determined by your education. You are paid by the revenue you create. The more revenue you create, the higher your compensation. This is the thing that is missed by people like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders when they complain about CEO pay. If you have a doctorate in something that doesn't create revenue, your degree may be worthless to a company. However, if you are a good talker, you could become President of the United States and win the Nobel Prize.

Soaring Eagle Properties has already said that we will keep our tier levels for the rest of the year. I would expect that would include the freeplay levels too.
People who suffer from seasonal disorders will be getting worse because of staying in place and not getting any sun. I expect the casinos will have to ramp up the offers and promos to get these people back.
There are a lot of people who are afraid to even go out of the house to get the mail or get groceries.
Eagle Man? Wildman and i thought there might be another local.
Have you been following the Unplayable Machines thread?
That's where were at, Any comments? Maybe over there instead of here.
Sorry Tech, I didn't see this 'til last night. I got my notebook/log out and am looking at my results for the past year. I will post on the Unplayable thread.

Wife got an e-mail form the casino, 15 questions. They are looking at many things from every other machine, to plexiglass guards between machines. 3 players per table games. Taking temps at the door. Take out food only. How do we feel about attending a concerts. Mask wearing and more.

It seem to me casino, bar, restaurant, or any business that has to spread people out is going to lose money for months and months on reduced revenue. Until there is a vaccine for this virus bankruptcy is right around the corner.

Agree, unless there are mass layoffs/furloughs.

Yes, I also received an email from one of the casinos on the Mississippi coast.
They are hoping to re-open in later May, depending on the governor of Mississippi allowing this.
However, the list of planned restrictions was so inconvenient that I doubt if they are going to have much traffic.
In addition to every other machine being shut down, temperatures will be taken when you enter the casino, and constant cleaning will occur even while you are sitting at a machine.
However, the most striking thing on the list is that masks will most likely be required, at least for a while, for all customers and employees. People who unmask will be asked to leave.
Unless you poke a cigarette hole in your mask, I don't see how someone will be able to smoke. This is a delight to me as a non-smoker, but seeing as most of the casino customers smoke, this is really going to hurt business, or at least until the mask requirement is relaxed.
To me, the whole mess doesn't seem worth it. I'll just wait for total normalcy, if that ever occurs again, before going back to a casino.
My understanding of all of this is that the casinos hate the many restrictions they are going to have to implement, but they hate even more losing millions of dollars by being forced to close.

Mohegan Sun may open around the same time, but no detail on requirements. I don’t see how they could have any table games at all due to the closeness

And to think that some players have stated one of the reasons that they enjoyed the table games was for the interaction with other players.....

I posted an article under Favorite Casinos that Fort McDowell and Harrah's Ak Chin in metro Phoenix plan to reopen May 15. Others to follow later in the month.

Haven't heard anything about AC casinos. If there ever was a need to re-open by Memorial day, this would be the place. if they lose the summer, look out.

Re: the post that questioned smoking in a casino while wearing the required mask. I will assume the casinos will be forced to provide a special nearby but outdoors area for smokers where social distancing can still be maintained. It is important to realize that not only is smoking impossible with a mask on, but it is also extremely unadvisable for anyone to inhale direct or second-hand smoke at anytime, but most especially during the COVID-19 outbreak. To my way of thinking, from a medical point of view, the pleasure of gambling under such risky circumstances is most certainly not worth it. Absolutely not.
