They pulled most of those machines when they opened the new casino. The 99% games now start at $5 a coin. There are still a few of the old games scattered around the old casino floor. You can find them if you look hard enough. 99% is still a long way from positive and the Hard Rock comps aren't nearly enough to make up the difference.Carcounter wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 9:21 amI believe you have a deuces game at Tampa that is close to 99% for .50 and higher. I played it last spring on a weekend spring training trip. I would play this rather than a 97% game. Got a 2k royal on a re-draw after tossing 5 cards. Only time that has ever happened to me.
I believe playing positive VP games is overrated. Some years back I played NSU deuces wild in Reno for three days and lost more than I could believe was possible. My wife and I drove to Tahoe for our 50th anniversary. The morning after, I hit a royal flush for $1,000 and two $250 quad deuces on a 97% game. So much for positive games.
Believing in positive VP games is like believing the Shroud of Turin is what it claims to be. To true believers, no amount of evidence will ever change their mind. I don't for a minute believe successful players think they can tell a winning machine from a losing machine just from the odds alone. When we play at Red Rock, the full pay machines all have signs on them showing they are. The casino manager must be splitting a lung laughing at all the players who expect to beat them.
