Ecstasy to agony in one spin.

Post by billryan »

Playing BP at the Emerald Island bar.
These machines you can play a variety of games, from 1 cent, two cent or nickels, up to a hundred credits or quarters through dollars up to ten credits.
Guy wanders over, throws in $100 bill and hits max play. Is dealt two deuces and draws two more and an ace. Let's out a scream and suddenly realized he is playing one hundred cents instead of ten dollars. His $4,000 hit just turned into $400.
Lesson learned.

Hilarious,..from our end. As said, lesson learned. Read an article of a guy playing at some vp bar and would play a few hands, change games, then play a few hands, change games, etc. well, he flops three aces with kicker. Saves the aces and the kicker...pops the 4th ace (you know where this is going)...jumps up in excitement and stops abruptly as he realizes he didn't win the $1 tdb $4,000 aces with kicker, but wins the paltry $125 dollars of jacks or better....lesson learned!!!

This can work both ways. I once put a $100 in a VP machine, hit max coin dollars and the entire $100 was placed on the first bet,  I was in a casino that I had never played at before and didn't realize a max bet was 100 coins instead of 5.  I was pissed, but had no choice but to continue.   It ended well when I hit a straight.

I recently did something similar. Sat at a five play DW, put in $40 and hit max bet. I was thinking it would be $6, but it was $25. Ended up getting back $20 and cashed out.
I can play at $5 or $6 a spin, or $12.50 for a fifty play, but $5 a hand on multiplayer is out of my comfort zone for now.
