As for coping with looses when playing dollars, yeah it can stink. When I play the $1 Five Star at $6-$10 per hand, I have done as poorly as $2000 down in an hour or two. Or, up $4000 in the same time. These are full-pay, high variance games. When I win, I feel like a king. When I loose, it lingers for a few days. As long as the good days come, I continue. But a bad run of several loosing sessions knocks me completely out of the game for a long while. It does rack up tier points like crazy.

My other play at $1 is a 5 meter 9/5 DDB with a 1% meter. This game frequently goes above 100%. A bad hour can easily cost $800. My worst was -$1500 in 2 hours. Best, +$4200 when I finally hit a royal.

Lately, I have been just playing quarters, full pay. I get my hour or so of fun for $200. If I win, the elation isn't as high. But if I loose, the anguish isn't bad at all - and there is no temptation to start chasing.

Congrats. I too have had a good run lately. A $ 2,000
royal on 4-7 and a $4,000 royal on 4-20. However yesterday a disaster,
lost $ 800 playing $ 1.00 SDB at Borgata. That's ok now up $ 3,800 for
the year. Think I will slow it down for a while and get out to golf as
the weather permits.Nice hits Car.I know the
losing end all to well. Saturday morning hit the casino before work for a
gas card promo. Put 1000 points on your card get a $50 gas card. I'm
game. Well the $50 gas card cost me 400 bucks! Its the part of VP we hate the most losing.Since
my wife is not due back from AZ till tomorrow (Monday) I headed out for
more play this morning before work. You know that ol saying "when it rains it
pours" well it seems to be pouring  Royals on me. Holding two cards to
the Royal in Jacks bang $800. Got the $400 loss back and then some. Three Royals in 4 days, maybe I should send the wife some money to stay out there a few more
