Post Office Boxes to appear Local

I was listening to a podcast yesterday where an Advantaged player said he has countless PO Boxes set up around the country so that he appears to be a local so he can receive better mailers and free play. Do any other players do this? Any tips Pros or Cons.

Out of town p.o. boxes tend to get room offers.
Today's clubs are more sophisticated and tend to pick up double listings.
No negatives that I'm aware of, it's just more difficult to have multiple accounts.

For the most part, it is a viable strategy used by the advantage players. One of the most well known, Mickey Crimm has shared stories about having a PO Box in Laughlin because he will make his home at the casinos. The player is either classified as a local or outsider, it is up to the player to probe information in each casino to see which who gets better mailers before registering at the slot club.

Most recently, will not mention the name, one of the APs were able to get someone working at the post office to read the contents of the postcard over the phone.

Pretty much the only con is the ability for the player to be at different places in short notice.
