Re: 4 Card Keno Strategy
Thanks for the info on the Gold Coast. Anything to add regarding downtown? El Cortez, or Boyd's places there?

Downtown the best is Plaza. They also have a few banks equivalent to the Gold Coast. One bank is near the sports book. They are 5 cent and up. There is also penny keno at many properties but pay table is not as good.
An example and I will use nickel pay tables: Main Street and Cal and many other places have the 5 spot at 810 for 5 of 5.(It could be 812 but somewhere close) and 6 spot is 1600 or even 1500 for a six spot. While the plaza has 838 and 1660. Also the 4 of 5 and the 5 of 6 pay better at the Plaza. (and Gold Coast)
You really have to look around as the pay tables change in each casino. El Cortez is much like Boyd pay tables.

There is a 10 spot with a $15,000 jackpot that is a 20 cent bet next to and to the right of the Keno counter as your facing the counter. It's at The Orleans.
The odds of getting 10 of 10 is......8.9 million to one. You will probably never see one in your life time.

I'm amazed how many people play this at the bar at Emerald Island, even though they have very good VP paytables.

Yes it is that bad. Keno is a terrible game but if you must play go after a 5,6,7 or sometimes a 8 spot. The odds of a 7 spot is the same as a royal flush

One of the first things I learned from the Wizard of Odds is how big the house edge is on live keno. Despite that, the rate in which a player loses money is still less because the action is much slower rate than the slot machine player.
The Gold Coast has a progressive for their live keno for the 8 spot. I've seen it go higher than $50k. I think its $1 per play. The Wizard of Odds revamped their Keno calculator not too long ago, did not crunch the numbers to see if it is worth playing.
At 1 in about 230k odds is where you can get 8 out 8.

Three cards I will always keep the same. One card will change around according to what numbers seem like they are hitting.
