For some odd reason,
Florida Phil ignores these kinds of posts like mine you responded to
that directly question his beliefs and his belief of facts.
I believe you can determine the odds of any video poker game.  I use Dancer's VPW software for this and I trust his numbers.   His software calculates the odds and strategy for all number of coin bets.  If I am going to compare two video poker games, I plug the numbers at the top of the machine into his software,  I have a laptop in my car for that express purpose. The majority of the time I play the game that returns the best odds regardless of how many coins it takes to earn them.  At the casinos where I play, VPW software clearly shows playing single coin at a higher denomination often earns better odds than max coins at a lower denomination.  I do not continue to throw more and more money into a negative video poker machine just to prove playing max coins is better when the numbers tell me it isn't.If you believe you should always play max coins with no exceptions, you should buy a copy of his software and run the numbers yourself.  I would never tell anyone how to play with their own money.  I'll leave that up to others on this forum who are so much better at it.

To use another metaphor, we're all rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. The max coiners have better pillows, but we're all going down with the VP ship.

Those who are willing to settle for less usually get their desire.

Ah, such droll, lacerating wit. How refreshing as we enter the dog days. A subpar Straight Flush may get me scared straight. Otherwise, I'm still dodging bankroll collisions on the VP Expressway. Traffic is a mess out there.

Losing doesn't bother me because I trust the math . . . A typical roller coaster ride. Its in a valley right now, but one RF would change that. It's been about 30,000 hands since my last one. Its not a matter of if I hit another one, it's a matter of when. If I factor in the savings of the two comped meals each week, and or the weekly free gift, I'm well ahead. August 1st, I will be getting a Ninja Pro Processor, that sells for about $150, as my quarterly gift.

I read this post, and then read it again, wondering if this was sarcasm or serious.
I concluded you are serious. . . The last sentence in particular made me laugh, thanks for the humor.

First, you know you can go 100,00 hands till your next RF. I'm sure you trust the math on that.

Second, if you are in a low point right now in your VP bankroll, it's funny that you feel better because of the two comped meals each week. What's funnier is the weekly free gift puts you "well ahead."

Locals' garages in the Vegas area are stuffed with those valuable "free" gifts.   I just received mailers from three different properties, lucky me!
In August, I can stuff in my garage a set of Rachel Ray dinnerware, a 10 piece bowl set, lots and lots of wine and liquor, car cleaning kits, dash cam, car trunk organizer, and a BBQ grill. Then, on the last day of every month, I can call 1-800-Got-Junk to haul it away

The car trunk organizer sounds interesting.

Not sure what you find humorous, but then again I don't particularly care. In the course of an average week, I eat out two or three times on the casinos dime.
Last night, I had a salad, lasagna, garlic bread and apple pie. A couple of nights ago I had a teriyaki steak.
Monday I had a salad and a half pound burger platter.
I don't care if you want to use what it would cost me in the place or what it cost me at home, either way 50 weeks of that more than makes up for the less than $1,000
I'm currently down.
As for the quarterly gifts, new in box Ninja processors are selling for about $150-200 on ebay.
Some people laugh at the giveaways, others listen to Jean Scott and turn them into a revenue stream. At least you are honest about who you are.
Some people pay someone to remove their stuff, others have a garage sale.
As I said, losing doesn't bother me because I trust in math. Just finished playing a promotion that had people at my table scratching their heads at my plays. One guy wanted to fight me over my stupidity. Lost a thousand dollars on what appeared to be stupid plays, but then the wheel turned and all of a sudden everyone was commenting on how lucky I was. It wasn't luck. It was math. What was ironic is several people posted things about the very casino, but not one of them picked up on this sidebet.
