It's 97.6% that I pee'd in my pants reading Forest New's analogy...Thanks, Ted.  I'd hate to think all that cutting-and-pasting was a total loss.

CS is widely misunderstood and disparaged on this forum.  It's a Recreational VP betting strategy being discussed on the Recreational Play Forum.
Recreational Play Forum - The lighter side... playing for entertainment, less concerned about "the math."
It is far from dangerous and is no threat to anyone.  It turns a dull repetitious long term losing negative video poker game into an exciting one.  It trades the possibility of hitting a short coin royal flush for the more frequent possibility of a max coin quad deuce jackpot that pays the same amount of money.   It opens the possibility of a quarter VP player hitting a $4,000 dollar royal while reducing the risk of playing max coin dollars.  The anticipation of hitting the max coin button is exciting because you never know what is going to happen.  With the wild cards in play, the possibilities are endless. It also allows quarter players to play better dollar game odds.  This has value in today's casinos where quarter players take the brunt of odds reductions.  Until they pull all the coin select buttons off, it's one way of getting around the problem. If anyone who reads this thinks there is any strategy that will keep you from ever losing when you play VP, you are sadly mistaken.  If you want a guarantee your money will never go away, stay away from casinos.   People win on occasion, that's what keeps us coming back.  A select minuscule few make a good living playing VP.   If you think that's an easy life, ask him yourself.I don't care what anyone else thinks about CS.  I use it on occasion and I like it.  It adds to my enjoyment of the game.  I think others should know about it so they can enjoy it too.  If I thought for a minute it would hurt anyone, I wouldn't mention it here or anywhere.I do care when someone who doesn't understand it's purpose or has an axe to grind against me personally attacks it as something evil or foolish.   It's not either one.  It's just a way to make playing VP more entertaining.   If you don't like, don't use it, go on with your business and let those us who do enjoy it in peace.

CS has worked for me for a long time.  CS quarters is for players on a strict budget.  That's not me.  I play CS dollars because it pays me better than playing max coin quarters.  It's that simple.Phil I read you play $1 then max to $5 and not $1.25 maxing to $5 that you like to save the 25 cents. I got to thinking if you save 25 cents per hand  in a 40,000 hand cycle, you save $10,000 coin in. What am I missing ?The only hand you lose out on is the Royal at $250 vs $800 or -$550.
