Orleans

Post by glhAAAA »

Since they closed the Stardust I have stayed at the Orleans with not much luck at all. Like to play DDBP. Does anyone know which of the bars are the best to play at or where the best machines are in the casino. Play .25 and dollar machines.

I can't help you with Double Double Bonus, but if you like plain Bonus Poker, the two bars by the table games each have 8/5 Bonus Poker in the bartops (at least, as of a couple of months ago), which is oddly better than the Bonus Poker paytables on any other machines in the casino.

http://members.cox.net/vp_free/REDR.htm will show what they have, which ain't much-not a single positive positive game.  But, with their .3
cash back you can get over 100.  I have stayed there by preference in the past, and hoped I could let them haul me to Suncoast and Gold Coast to pile up my Coast points.  That does work as far as total Coast points go, but they start you over for daily points. So I assume Orleans will cease
their generous comp offers.  Last time I was there, I had asked for a club HOST but didn't get a return call til the next day.  By then I had already booked room on Southwest.  The HOST apologized and said she would help me out with food-$100/day comp.  I was alone!  And I spent more on tips than I normally do on food.

i've hit royal flushes on a few ddb machines at the orleans. one machine is near tgi fridays (towards the back part of the casino). there are 4 machines on each side (total of 8) with chair seats (not stools).

the second machine i've hit on is near the front of the casino (near one of the bars before you get to the roulette tables). there are about 10 machines on each side.

overall, the vp there is average. personally, i prefer to play over at the suncoast. they have one of the highest amount of vp machines of any casino in the whole town plus they have my favorite game of triple db triple play, which they do not have at the orleans.

plus, you can use your coast card over at the suncoat. nice crowd and puh-lenty of vp machines to choose from!

South Point also has a bunch of slant tops and uprights. Many are MG/ MD variety so you have lots of choices. Good luck!

Yes, Southpoint has many games between 99.5% and 100% payback. With the cashback of .3% it is pretty much an even play without figuring in comps. Just got back from there a few minutes ago.
