The lighter side... playing for entertainment, less concerned about "the math."

I'm sorry, I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole "Entertainment Players don't play for a profit" arguement.

I imagine stephen paddock flat bet 100s of thousands of dollars and did not use any betting system. Even his brother said we had rough times and we went on.
Those "rough times" are the reason I play VP for entertainment. For me it's not a question of how much money I will win, it's a question of what I must endure in the process. I do not enjoy playing video poker if I have to walk out of the casino with empty pockets. I have determined this can not be avoided a large percentage of the time.

I can play all the games I want on this website for $8 month. Sometimes I want to get out of the house for a day and will drive to the casino. If I play small, I win small and I lose small. Either way, it doesn't change much. Gambling and Video Poker are two separate things. You can play video poker without gambling. You can gamble without playing video poker. I like to play video poker. I enjoy the casino experience. I enjoy traveling around to different casinos. I enjoy the camaraderie of playing VP with a friend. I enjoy the romantic nights, the shows and the people. I do not like to gamble.

His brother also said, eric paddock, that not everyone works at taco bell, and 100k is not alot of money, well now if 100k$ is not alot of money maybe i don't know the ratio of poor/middleclass/rich there are in the world research claims its a 300/1 ratio but my research might be incorrect and eric is right anyhow 100k$ could change a life if used correctly so i disagree with his statement. the casino industry claims the average joe walks in with 300-500$ bankroll for the weekend, i doubt thats even true, being the two major casinos las vegas and atlantic city either place has high rollers out number low rollers

Anyone who thinks $100K is not a lot of money is either fooling himself or came into his money the easy way. According to CNBC, sixty nine percent of Americans have less than $1,000 in savings. Only 39% of Americans have enough savings to cover a $1,000 emergency.

I am a believer that you should be able to do whatever you want with your own money. The "evil rich" are not the problem some people think. The majority of workers either work for a rich person or sell something to them. Without them, we would all be huddling around a fire in a 55 gallon drum.

What someone does with their own money is their own business. I don't want mine going to a casino, so I play just big enough to get what I want and small enough so I don't overpay.
