FP. Purging billy of negativity, really? Good luck with that. It's a turtle and scorpion thing ,"it is his nature ,it's what he does". Anyone who doesn't know that story should ask someone.

No harm in trying. No sense in placing blame either. Sarcastic negative comments have been the tools of experts and amateurs alike. Hopefully we have grown beyond that. In reality, I think we have used up most of our insults.

All I want to talk about is what happens when I go to the casino, what I think about when I'm there and how I get the most out of what I want from the game of VP. I want to hear the thoughts and experiences of others as well. Everyone has the right to disagree as long as they do it with respect and as much class as they can conjure up.

On this forum, one person's strategy is the start of another person's placard carrying crusade. I don't mind hearing what anyone else does to make a profit as long as they don't tell me it's the only way for me to play with my own money. I'm at the casino to be entertained, not work a job. I pay attention to what the experts tell me because it helps me get a better VP value for my money. I adapt what they tell me to what I want to happen and I benefit in return.

In the future I will be making comments based on my experience. That experience is coming from an avid Recreational player, not a professional. The only thing in VP that I am an expert on is making myself happy.

We can't please everyone, so we may as well please ourselves. I find this forum unnecessarily combative, contentious and just plain mean. If not for you and Olds, I wouldn't participate.

It's easy to be mean when you are on your keyboard and that other person is far away. I doubt many members would act that way in person.

The truth is video poker is a computer game. It was created by gaming manufacturers to sell to casinos. The casinos buy the games and put them on the floor so people will play them. It has a built in profit margin by design. A full pay video poker machine makes money for the casino or it wouldn't be there.

The players enjoy the game, the casino profits and the economy works. Whenever someone figures out how to turn the casino's advantage into theirs, the casino adjusts the game or the rules to regain their profit. If someone does this enough, the casino polity asks them to play somewhere else. The casino always wins or the games or the player are removed.

This is not a complicated process. If someone wants to play wack-a-mole with the house edge, that's their business. I don't want to play that game. All I want the casino to do is provide fair well maintained games in a clean pleasant environment. I understand the casino has to make a profit or they won't be there next week when I go back. I also want to pay a fair price for my day at the casino.

Rudeness on this forum started at the top and flowed down. The experts on this forum should undertake a review of their tactics. If they honestly want to help people, they should realize they would help more people with kindness and understanding than insults and attacks.

I have noticed a slightly different tone on this forum lately. It seems there is a little more tolerance in the air. Could peace be breaking out? Let's hope so.
