How many hands do you play in a day, and what percentage of them are at max coins?

That number can vary considerably. Some days it could be 100 hands. Some days 500 or more. I play CS 50 cents in Tampa. That is the minimum denomination to earn the better odds.

If you play max coin quarters in Tampa you will be playing a 97% game. If you don't hit a royal or a quad deuce, you can easily lose $400 a day playing this game . Five days like that equals two $1,000 Royals. How many days will you play until a Royal appears?

If you can comfortably play good VP games and earn good comps, you never need to use CS. If that is the case, you don't need me to tell you how to play. There are plenty of experts who will give you all the playing advice you need.

If you have lousy games and lousy comps, you are going to take a financial beating over and over again. If you continue on this path, you will become a slave to the casino. Your losses will mount as you try to recover your losses. You will be hooked on a cycle of ever mounting losses and attempted recovery that never catches up.

The best way to get out of this cycle is to quit playing bad games. If that doesn't work for you, write off your losses to date and start limiting your coin-in. If you must play max coins, play nickels. There is no nickel VP in Tampa. If you want better odds and a chance at hitting a bigger jackpot, try CS.

There is nothing bad, unintelligent, VooDoo or dangerous about limiting your coin-in when playing bad VP games.

100 hands in a day? So less than 10 minutes and done? For some reason I thought your outings were longer than that.

I too, am a bit confounded by that number too. But to be fair: I've dashed after hitting something good with my freeplay at or less than 100 hands. Phil has said that because of the distance he drive's to and from casinos, he likes to get his money's worth.

Yeah, I don't bother to go to a casino unless I can stay about two hours or more. Waste of gas for me otherwise.

I think Phil is afraid to post the answers because his numbers don't add up.
If we know how many hands per day and what percent is at single coin and what is at max,
the math is self evident. If he chooses not to answer, we can plug in numbers. I think 1,000 hands and one hundred at max is about right but would prefer using real numbers. Doesn't matter if it's a 99% game or a 97% game.

Bumped because we really really really were hoping Phil would answer this.

As usual, we have a communication problem. I thought you were asking for the number of CS max coin hands I play in a day. When I play 50 cent CS at Tampa I can play from 10 AM until 3 PM and come home with money. I play about 800 hands an hour. That's about 4,000 hands a day. Of those, only about 10% are at max coins. Like I said, this number can vary considerably. My goal is to play as long as I want and come home with the amount I left with. Playing CS, I make my goal well over 50% of the time.

Anyone who plays 99.5% VP games for over a week will soon get the brutal bill also. It's called a bank statement. The W2G bucket list quest has lost its appeal. I'm going back to Bally's. Crappy uprights, but same odds as Caesars without dollar machines in the vicinity. The uprights are .25/.50/1, but all I do is occasionally hit max quarter, a $2.50 bet on their ten coin max system. Really enjoyed it last week; never should have returned to Caesars.
