Millions to one?

Post by olds442jetaway »

Just a guess but it must be. Last night at Mohegan Sun in 12 hands of airport deuces, I drew to and hit 7 wild royals. I know or am at least pretty sure that will never be repeated in my lifetime. My session was about 5000 hands. I was lucky enough to end up plus 100 even without hitting quad deuces or a royal.

Good for you olds, just goes to show you that you can score runs with bunches of base hits too.

Olds, I'm quite glad to hear that you clobbered a video poker cycle positively for a change rather than being on the extremely unlikely negative cycles that I've seen you post over the years!

Did you look around to see if maybe you were on the modern version of Candid Camera?

It is strange how wild royals appear to be so streaky.

Was this single hand? Or one of those multihand games, perhaps spin poker?

If it was single hand, my calcs say that a wild royal occurs on average once in 523.68 hands if you employ max-EV computer perfect strategy. The odds of your event are other-worldly. To get 7 or more :o) wild royal in the next 12 hands, the odds are 13,751,781,893,394,500 to 1. If you were to start 10 million sequences of 12 hands each, the odds against this event occurring even once are still over a billion to 1, 1,375,178,096 to 1. And if you gave a million people the chance to start 10 million sequences each, the odds would still be a little more than 1374 to 1 against this happening even once.

Olds, do you feel special?

Congratulations! My wife has had this happen a few times. Seven is a bunch. Everything in Deuces Wild is streaky. What if those wild royals were real royals?
