Revisiting Websites of Brick & Mortar Casinos

Post by DaBurglar »

Webman, I thought it might just be worthwhile to at least briefly revisit the topic of the websites of All casinos in Vegas and AC and elsewhere, which offer gambling to its patrons. The rules and availability are now even more lax and prolific, and I am interested in anyone who has played video poker on any of these sites.

As some of you who visit AC must know, most of the AC casinos have a room or space on their floor devoted to their online games, for folks to actually play them in the casino just like a regular machine! Of course it also provides other benefits and actions that help both parties potentially.

Is it now "ok" to just discuss any particularly good hits or results, or if any particular casino is offering a good deal, good paytable, extra credits or bonuses etc etc??? If not, why is this still verbotten?

If it is directly and clearly operated by a brick and mortar casino in the US, then it will be fine to discuss.

thanks....I now receive daily promotional stuff from almost every AC casino trying to get me to play on their website, even though I do not live in New Jersey!

Has anyone out there actually played at ALL on a website operated by a Vegas or AC casino?

Nah, the ONLY chance you would ever get in trouble for playing online gambling in a state where online gambling is illegal would be, if you were a registered Republican and your state attorney general is a Democrat.....OR if you are registered Democrat and your state attorney general is a Republican! Get it?

I have yet to hear anything significant regarding the online gambling of brick and mortar casinos ( or steel and concrete...or aluminum siding etc.) As far as AC is concerned, the single biggest and best development of the past five years is Sports wageing!

Obviously I forgot an "r" in my "wagering" word selection, and that is what Ted is attempting to bring to everyone's attention .... he is obviously adept enough to find out on his own just what is happening in AC vis-a-vis Sports betting and how it is impacting the bottom line.

As stated several times already, I don't gamble hardly at all anymore and have only been to AC once this current calendar year (2019) and twice in the last 15 months, and both times, AC was NOT the primary destination of my visit/travels to New jersey and elsewhere (I now prefer to spend time in Cape May & its surrounding area, as well as venturing to Philly and pushing my way due west from that city...) Still, when I am in the area and nearby, I make it a point to visit AC to at least enjoy the boardwalk and my favorite food places (like Gallaghers). I have YET to see or experience the Sports Books, the Sports Betting Offerings or anything related in any of the AC casinos. I do find this particular point annoying and frustrating; Way back in 2010, when AC was literally on life support and several casinos were close to Outright Bankruptcy, then-Gov. Christie along with several other officials within the NJ Gaming Department, the CAsino Redevelopment Authority (CRDA) and some casino executives were lamenting the fact they could not get Sports betting to help them regain stability and thrive once again. It was SO obvious back then that AC truly needed ( I mean NEEDED) sports betting, just like Vegas had, in order to survive and actually GROW again. Here we are in 2018 being proven right....as if there ever was a doubt of the benefit to the casinos and AC for having Sports "wageing" :P

One of my favorite AC casinos/locales, the Atlantic Club Casino (a.k.a. "The AC Hilton") would perhaps STILL be around and available as a nice quiet get away at the end of the Boardwalk's CASINO district; I really do miss that place! Also, the SHOWBOAT would probably still be operating as it's old self, one of the iconic and popular AC flagship casinos that seemed popular with almost anyone who frequented AC. The REVEL, which was cursed and doomed from the start Long before it ever even opened, jusssst might not have been the unmitigated DISASTER it became if....IF sports betting had been part of its equation and operation right out of the gate! The Trump Casinos (Taj, Plaza, MArina) were the only properties that Sports wagering would not have made a difference, and would still have TANKED (again for the fourth and final time) sometime after 2009, simply because Bankruptcy was and is one of Trump's tried and tested practices for..... "success"?

Anyway, with the above linked report, showing a "great" September 2018, you can only imagine how spectacular the numbers will be for OCtober thru February as the NFL season really heats up and players get more into it, plus the ongoing action of active NBA and NHL seasons, combined with a HUGE NCAA Football betting calendar! AC's first year with sports betting available for the SUper Bowl in February/2019 will be the ultimate high water mark and no doubt produce some major revenue. And of course, never forget that, a month or so following the Super Bowl, starting in Mid-march, you have College Baskertball Conference Tournaments followed by the ultimate sports betting experience, NCAA MARCH Madness!!! $$$$$$$$ For AC casinos who promote, manage and position themselves correctly !!!

The two sports book lounges that I patronized on NFL Sunday are a zoo. Ocean has a classier overall clientele, especially if you snagged an armchair. Bally's/Caesars is a rather tawdry spectacle. Bread and circuses. But it does the trick, getting me out of the damn casino for almost three full hours on my day trips. Sunday was so full that I was evicted from my seat by an irate patron who'd used the WC and left no trace. That sent me back to Caesars and a $250 straight flush. Now that's my kind of flush!
