BR's prediction came through, the dems retook the house. congrats! there was at least one point of honesty in their campaign and they ran on it...americans want improved healthcare. whether it is access or cost, the current situation is not functioning properly. the reps had their chance, after 8 years of complaining, they did little. it is a complicated subject for which i do not have the answers, but i am guessing it will require some form of radical overhaul/delivery system, and not necessarily a universal government program. the dems capitalized on reps heath care solution failure. i hope they have a better alternative than the last time.
many campaigns were ugly and nasty. lots of lies and the media should be embarrassed. the media, dominated by the left leaning, have definitely crossed the line from objective truth teller to active participant. today's WH press conference was a reminder.
but, lost in the whole election mess, was that many americans saw thru the lies and voted on some key issues that affect them, including healthcare, borders, the economy, and many more. there is hope for america.
yes, the dems took back the house, but it was certainly no 'blue wave', as reps added to their senate majority. voters saw the failure of the rep house to fix healthcare and watched as dems embarrased themselves in the scotus hearings. seems to me, america voted appropriately.
congrats america

Still waiting for Martha McSally to be declared the winner of RINO Jeff Flake's Senate Seat over leftist radical Kyrsten Sinema.

I dont think thats going to happen.Sinema is in the lead and a lot of places still out should favor her. I doubt either wins by more than a few thousand and don't be surprised if it ends up in court.Casino Knight wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 10:49 amStill waiting for Martha McSally to be declared the winner of RINO Jeff Flake's Senate Seat over leftist radical Kyrsten Sinema.

It's incredible that there are still a half million votes outstanding in Arizona. Imagine if this 2020 and the Electoral College was tight.

You just have to do some research on her. BTW, I owe Bill Ryan $100 because the Dems took the house. Bill, let's figure out a way for me to get it to you. Now the Dems have 2 choices, one, to work with Trump on things like taxes, healthcare, immigration, infrastructure etc. Or two, ivestigate the hell out of Trump on everything, Since they don't want to help him get re-elected, that is a tough choice because either of those 2 things will help him. My best guess is they try to thread the needle and work with him on taxes and infrastructure, but keep healthcare and immigration open as 2020 issues. Will be interesting because I think Trump just wants to get things done and will work with the Dems if they are willing.

I don't recall an actual bet, but if we did make one and you lost, you can donate the money to Charity.
I like St Jude's Children's hospital but any mainstream charity will do. Any bets I win on the internet, the proceeds go to charity.
As far as the next two years go- If the guy playing AG fires Mueller or is still the AG in January, I think the Democrats rightfully go to war and properly "drain the swamp". If that guy goes quickly, things might go smoothly but I'm pretty sure Don Jr is being indicted and Daddy will go ballistic.
