Dealt Royals

My wife and I have had several jackpots concerning royals, but this was before the Casinos changed the paytables. (I dont know if changing the pay tables are suppose to affect this but it seems like it did) Wife hit a seq royal (AKQJ10) at the Sheraton in Tunica, this was for 16,700 on prog .25 machine. (she's lucky I believe she has hit one the last 3 times we have been starting in Jan 2008-should quit while we're ahead)  I had a Royal dealt to me on the bottom playing  a .05 triple play prog for 7,600. last year at Gold Strike, and have 4 others over the years dealt to me.   On the Gold Stike (MGM owned now) the video poker was great on the .05 triple play machines, it had 3 play and 5 play and you could usally win some and each machine was a stand alone progressive ( I have seen the nickel up to 19,000). now the MGM have changed the paytables and you will run 100 dollars . in the machine and not hit a 4 of a kind on any of the games posted.

  How can changing the paytables affect the outcome of your play? Now if some tech got in there and fiddled with the RNG, then thats a whole different ball of wax and the darn thing can go cold as ice but I can't see not hitting a quad because the paytable changed.
