Why do you play VP? - Do you go solo or with your significant other or someone else.

The lighter side... playing for entertainment, less concerned about "the math."

I always say I never play single coin. I was wrong... I do play out the final coins by just hitting Max Bet repeatedly and hold my breath. I've never made it out of that phase with a nice single coin win.
The best way to "guarantee" you will never hit a short coin royal is to always play max coins. I have hit lots of them. I hate hitting $62.50 royals. Hitting one for $250 isn't all that bad unless you've been playing max coin dollars all day.

at the risk of repeating myself, hitting a royal for one coin does NOT mean u would have hit it at max coin ! rember the rng is constantly shuffling. so y be blue ? quote;"how many ways can I make that clear to you bob" from movie "what about bob?"

This may sound crazy, but I know someone who only bets 4 quarters because they do not want to risk more than a buck at a time. They have hit at least double the Royals I have over the last year or so. They play Joker Kings so the short coin hit isn’t as bad. They know about the 5 th coin too and don’t care. To each his own I guess.

No need to repeat yourself. A royal can happen at any time and at any denomination. How you feel about it may be different. If you play single coin all the time, a royal is just another win like all the rest. If you are playing max coins, you received a bonus. If you are playing a 97% game, you will most likely pay more for that bonus than you win.

This fact is what keeps casinos in the video poker business. Very few video poker games don't have some kind of royal flush bonus. The bonus is there to entice you to play max coins. The worst are those that short the royal. :censored:
