And people think gamblers are superstitious!

Hope the Elantra serves you as well as the Saturn.

Nice choice. M really likes her Hyundai Tuscon. And her parents like their Elantra.

of the new Elantra’s gas mileage. Phenomenal. Better than what a hybrid gets and at half the cost. That will save enough money every trip for an extra pot shot.

olds,
interesting story. Sweet C and I left Coushatta having been VIP for multiple years this past few months for Golden Nugget Lake Charles. Coushatta has great VP tables 98-99% returns. Loved the staff many who have become our friends but the Player Tier program is old fashioned. Minimum 125K points every six months to keep status. Being the first big casino in La. they have not kept up with he competition.

Last October I completed the six months with 565K points. Due to a family death and other situations I only earned 90K by March and asked the Dir Player Development if he'd grant me a waiver since my previous 6 months was equal to 2 1/2 years of play. My host had told me he had done this many times before, but that a new Marketing Director had been hired. His response was I'll consider it. I contacted the Marketing Director as well. He'd consider it as well. On April 1 when my status was not renewed and I was dropped to beginner status and got $11 free play, I wrote them again, thanked my Host and told them it had been a pleasure playing at their casino for the past 5 years and kissed them goodbye. My host was upset but nothing from the Director of Player Development or Marketing.

Ironically, we followed 5-6 of our peers VIPs who had left over the past year for GNLC. The odds are lower at GNLC but with better comps and free play, fabulous Landry's related restaurants , and the rooms top quality, we can handle the lower VP tables. I even was able to link up with a former host who'd moved to GN, its 30 minutes closer to home and at Elite level we have carded access to a gated parking area in the garage with entry just a few feet away. Additionally GNLC allows a free stay at any of their casinos each year and twice a year cruise offers. Our trip to Vegas in March was fully covered by GNLC to GNVegas. The one thing Tilman Fertitta knows is how to keep his customers happy. Especially, his top "billionaires" (in my fantasy) who get a free year long lease on any car of their choosing. Nice watching them pick up their Mercedes, BMW, Porche or Masseratti from the holding area each year. We understand they also have an option to be brought over on one of his personal helicopters. That'll keep them coming.

Good hearing from you LL. We have had similar play and family situations over the last few years. The newer generations of directors casinos are bringing in vary greatly in their thinking. There are very few die hard vp players left now at Ct casinos. They are trying to shift their business models to hosting conventions, sprnding tons of money on remodeling and trying new things like zip lines, go cart tracks, upscale bars, clubs etc. For now, they are bleeding profits month after month while loading up on fancy penny machines that are usually played at the 1 to 4 dollar level. Personally, I think they sense that unfortunately we are a dying breed. They are hoping to retain some business from the locals who pay no attention to math or player returns and get sucked in by the glitz and animation of the newest penny machines.
