Time for an experiment

Post by wildman49 »

I want to see about getting a guarantee draw for a contest. I need to put about 125,000k into the machines in about 5 hours. I can do $5 ($25) a pull JOB 9/6. Or I have 10 play up to 100 play JOB nickels, quarters or dollars. Problem is its JOB 9/5. So playing 100 play nickels is $25 a pull, Quarters 20 play is $25 a pull, 5 hand $1 is $25 a pull all 9/5.

This might be a one time deal, I want to see about getting drawn on this promo and not sure the best one to pick. I know the math, but on a one time trial is muti-hand the best pick even if the payback is 1% less the single hand? Single hand only going to get 5,000 hands in 5 hours. Any thoughts would be a help.

How do you know you will be selected? Is it automatic for anyone who puts in 125,000k? What is the prize?

You could run really bad and it might cost you a small fortune. Is the prize that good?

By the way I stopped into Soaring Eagle for a few hours Monday on my way through the area. The casino for some reason was packed on a Monday.

I don't know it's an automatic draw but willing to find out. Yes I know there can and will be a sizable loss, just looking for the best play to lose the least amount on the trial. If it becomes a guarantee then its a no brainier, single hand is my play.

Case it was gas card day, big promo, draws in the crowd, $20,$40,$60 depending on your monthly play.

Wildman49,

Coincidentally,
Bob Dancer just posted an article yesterday in GWAE. That address's a lot of what you are asking about. Article is called (Which game should i play?). A slightly different scenario but good information.

From your post it seems that you may be short on time, to get to the coin in, you think is required for the drawing. You mention 5 hours twice. I could be mistaken on that, however if that's the issue. I think there are other things to consider.

Multi line games are slower to play than single line games. you may not be able to get enough hands in to meet the coin in requirement in time.

Hand-pays: if good variance is with you and you hit a hand-pay, how long does it take to be paid? Again if you are short on time and it takes 20 minutes to be paid. Will that keep you from the coin in required?

Hand-pays 2.0: if you do get a hand pay, are there other machines available? that are acceptable to play while you are waiting, so you can meet the coin in?

I hope this is of some help.
Good luck with your decision!

My first 2,000 single line hands of 9/6 JOB on this site in June had an actual return with 1 quad of 90.9%. Hope your real casino results are better.

Tell me about it. The quads on this website have a very nasty habit of disappearing for what seems like days at a time. I see this as a good thing. If they were over generous, people would think beating the casino is a piece of cake. This way new players can see what can happen when things don't go as expected.

It looks like nickel 100 play 9/5 JOB, not sure when but looking at early August when I am on vacation to give it a run. Will keep all posted.

you have 45 points rooting with you and 55 points rooting against who knows you might get it on that particular day, if its worth it, you have the bank to not care if a loss occurs then go for it! just have fun in the proccess
