Three weeks means 21 days not 20

The lighter side... playing for entertainment, less concerned about "the math."

Anyone with half a brain knows how hard it is to find a positive video poker game, much less beat the casino. Instead of helping the majority of players who play negative games, we talk about games only a few can play. Why? The casino wants to fill their floors with players who believe they can do take a strategy book and turn it into money. Who benefits? The casino and those who profit from the sale of video poker machines, books and CDs.

I never said the casino couldn't be beat. What I said was few have all the things it takes to make it happen. This is exactly what the experts on this forum say as well. If the experts want to help the majority of players, they should address playing the games most of us have to play. Limiting your advice to only positive opportunities leaves the majority of players at the mercy of the casinos. The casinos I frequent have been dropping the odds for over eight years. It's about time we move the discussion out of the year 2000 and bring video poker strategy into the present.

This does not seem to fit in with the "I am here to talk about what happens when I play video poker at my local casino" statement.

What is his thing? Being a fountain of misinformation?
Bill Ryan chose to attack me. I responded as you would do if you were attacked. This back and forth sparring needs to stop. Webman could stop it if he wanted to. The Recreational Forum should be for Recreational players, not professionals or members who want to pick a fight.

I don't play positive video poker games. I will never beat the casino. I wouldn't play $25 a hand with President Trump's money. Not because I think the game can't be beat. I think it's foolish. That's all that needs to be said.

Since you said what you think is needed to be said, can we assume it no longer needs saying, and won't be said six hundred times over the next month or so?

What happens in the future is totally up to you. If you continue on your current path of conflict, this forum will remain a battleground. When I'm gone, there will be others who will take my place.

Recreational players have as much right to play video poker as Advantage players. Playing video poker is not exclusive to VP millionaires. My suggestion is for people who think playing negative VP for fun is unintelligent should stay on the Strategy Forum where they belong. You are entitled to your own opinions. It's your money, play the way you want. Just don't try to convince us your way is the only way to play.

I'll take a 21-day sabbatical. I'm pretty sure this forum isn't big enough for the both of us.
Thank you! Take 121 days if this is all you got to do is bash people. For someone that claims to play $125 a hand (I never seen him play and there is never photos posted) I guess we take his word for it, must have nothing better to do then pester some quarter players????
Dead on WM!!
The dingle-dancer shows up on rec.thread and immediately baits FP and webman sits with his thumb unseen, whoever doubts the double standard has not been paying attention!!

Closing topic. I will do my best to address all of these points in a more lengthy post on Monday.
