I assume you meant a W-2G form, not a hand pay.
You are correct. I was wrongly assuming that all W-2G (or 1042-S) forms involve a hand pay, which I believe is correct, but that all hand pays involve a W-2G or 1042-S which is not, as you stated, necessarily so.

Still quaking in my boots and grateful for the escape. That would have been a killer down in flames day. Still just no discipline! Pure imbecile decision making.

Pay table shortchanges players $11.
I assume you were playing single coin dollars. Had you been playing full coin, you might have appreciated that the 239 for 1 payout creates a $1195 payoff that avoids any paperwork. Or, perhaps not, since you covet a hand pay.
He might have been max betting. Ocean offers the game as low as the $1 level possibly to match the $5, $10, and $25 machines.

Gold Coast has a bank of these games for 25c and 50c. Why is beyond me.

Correct, I was at dollar level. My usual careening between 1-5 coins. Timing is everything.

I would cringe if I ever hit a Royal with 4 coins bet. I did it once on joker kings with a 95 percent pay table years ago. At least the Royal paid 500 for one instead of 250. It was a nickel game
