Cold Streak Continues 8-2/3 GNLC

Post by Lucky Larry »

Weekend trip with one of our daughters, and a granddaughter/SIL to GN.
Friday
Nice rolling coolers or Yeti gift package on Friday for Sweet C and me.
Gave one to the daughter. Enjoyable comped buffet with the kids Friday night and killer hands (wrong kind) most of the night. The night's drawing were $2000 free play every 30 minutes plus entry into the night's drawing for one of the weekend's two brand new Lexus. Also, Friday's are double points night if you card into the offer. So I played early to build up points and the bankroll went down...down....down. After a long break, buffet and hitting it again I was down to a limited bankroll having committed at dinner to play most of the two days bankroll to get enough points to not penalize my daily average. So much for that theory as I only had a little over 1K points vs a normal 2.5-4K. Saw 3 deuces twice on multi-hand but never four deuces and no straight flushes or Deuce RF dealt. Four nights in a row without hitting 4 deuces. Had several hundred in free play but ended up with just over half when I finished. So down to a little over a $100 I moved to the dreaded single hand knowing every two hands at $1 would be one point. Played Bonus/JOB since I couldn't find a deuce on the first hands. Surprisingly caught 4 Aces for $400 and a couple of quads.
Saturday,
Sweet C who hadn't hit either and we decided to play on one card to increase our points since both averages took huge hits the night before. Less than $100 off free play and again couldn't hit any multi-hand so back to the single hand machine from the night before. Stopped for a great dinner with family at Salt Grass using weekly food credits and back on the attack again. Caught aces on Bonus and then fulfilling a premonition I caught dealt 3''s but on JOB. Play then began the death spiral and neither stopping, taking a break, changing games, crossing my fingers/toes/ankles, or turning around twice while reciting Longfellow's Midnight Ride of Paul Revere made a difference. So early to bed again by midnight - I didn't get drawn for the second Lexus either.....or the $2K free play every 30 minutes. So now for a long hiatus until the fall semester pay checks start again. Night's highlight was on the table games TV's- Astros no-hitter.

Please submit great VP trip stories so I can read them and congratulate you and dream of future trips.
At least we can drive over for a weekly great dinner and pickup the weekly gifts - next trip king size sheets set. Definitely worth the $20 in gas money. I'll check the couch and the grandkids piggy bank...LOL.

That's not the way to go LL and Sweet C. Hopefully, things will look up VP wise when your hiatus ends. In the meantime go to a few Astros games and enjoy their run to October.

My new casino also gets the crowds in on Friday night. Porsche finalist draws awarded to FP winners. Woo hoo! It’s a wild scene from the one night I observed. They sure love to set their victims up for a bonanza losing weekend! Personally, I sincerely hope that the Astros go even colder than you on this trip. Throw in a monkey wrench major injury for the bonus!

I feel your pain Larry. Going to try to break a 6 week losing streak this weekend. Three nights plus Tim McGraw concert. Need a few royals to get the monkey off my back!

Big sample size. One nice night will cancel the other two duds you’re likely to suffer. I predict a net win trip.
