Smoking policy change

Post by olds442jetaway »

Good news for non smoker players in the Ct area. As of September 23, the Fox Tower Hotel at Foxwods will go to all non-smoking. That is a huge plus for me since the only other totally smoke-free hotel up until now was Two Tree which is offsite. Unfortunately, the gaming area near Fox Tower is still smoking. I just got tired of booking rooms that were supposedly non-smoking but people staying there lit up anyway and they often smelled like stale cigars and a bad cheap brand at that. Hopefully there will be more non-smoking changes, since the MGM casino an hour away in Springfield Ma is a totally smoke free venue as will be all new or existing casinos in Massachusetts. Foxwods also redid their rainmaker Casino which is all non-smoking. Unfortunately, it is not walled off. Little by little I guess isbetter than nothing at all.

If anyone is interested in the casino associated with the Fox Tower Hotel it has airport Deuces is at the dollar level. Their JOB dollar games there are 95. I’m not sure about the other games but you won’t find any 99% games at the quarter level at Foxwods. One good thing for recreational players is they have a variety of nickel games in the 95 to 97% range If one wants to play 96JOB at Foxwods you have to walk down to one of their other casinos which is quite a long walk but it is inside and a good exercise anyway.

Anytime non-smoking areas are created is a positive development. If folks want to smoke, they should be allowed to do so but not at the expense of non-smokers. Good news for folks in the Northeast.
