New Mexico creates free college for all.

New Mexico, which is one of the poorest states in the Union has just announced that its state colleges and universities will now be free to all its residents, regardless of income.
About half the state's are now offering at least two years of free college depending on family income but New Mexico is the first to offer free two or four years to anyone.
It's a bold move, as NM is gambling businesses will move there to take advantage of a higher educated workforce. As the nation is shifting to the southwest, New Mexico has been lagging behind.
On a lighter note, I recently went to Fed Ex to send two packages to Santa Fe and the counter person wanted me to fill out customs paperwork. I wonder how much the state's name hurts it.
