In the long run Ted that was still a win for you since lots of offers and promotions should be coming your way. Get some rest if you can.

It appears there may be some "small print" in the Harrah's Joliet multiplier offer. The email I got from the host said nothing about a cap but the mailer I got yesterday speaks of a daily maximum number of 4,000 bonus tier credits and 8,000 bonus credits maximum per day. There is also a cap on the total number of tier and bonus credits that can be earned during the entire promotion. I may speak up because the email says nothing about a cap.

In general, reading the rules is a good idea.
Rather than complain to the casino, where I think you will probably fail because the rules state it in black and white, mention to your host that his email caused you to lose a lot more because he mis-stated the rules. Many hosts will attempt to make this up to you by offering you a steakhouse comp, or something.

The hosts at Mohegan Sun have been pretty good over the years giving comps for relatively minor foul ups. The usual remedy is a 100 dollar dinner comp. Over the years, many years, we have probably been issued a dozen or so. One time, the Mrs. and I went down for breakfast and when we got back to the room, we had been checked out. There had been an internal foul up somewhere and in fact housekeeping had already made up the room and tossed out some good dinner doggie bags we had in the fridge from dinner the night before. Anyway, they made it right and checked us back in. Later that day on a trip in to the lounge, I mentioned it to my host who graciously wrote us a 100 comp on the spot. So if they do that for you Ted, you will have to hunt up a pretty lady to go with you. I’m sure you will take care of that part just fine!
