High Roller Hassle
I dropped by to play my $20 FP today. I casually pressed Bet 1 three times for a $3 hand. It wasn’t to be. Last night’s high roller dope was playing $5! So it was a $15 hand. Sunday Surprise! Lost, of course. Why he’d punish himself so with 8/5 JOB and its kin is beyond me! I know. Check, check and recheck. I only play what they generously dole out, then head for the full pay casinos or sit on my wallet at the sports book.

My uncle sat down to play on a five cent machine. He put in a hundred dollars. He hits and wins first hand. He loses the next two. Then he hits again this time four of a kind. The music starts. He is wondering how in the world did I win a jackpot. I came over to say congratulations. He is still trying to figure out how he won such a big win. I said, "Well you are playing twenty five dollars a hand." He starts laughing and told me he was thinking he was playing 25 cents a hand. He took the money and stopped playing he was happy.

You should never bet less than 5 credits regardless of denomination.

I was hoping for a happy accident yielding a $225 quad. I did cash out a few hands later +$41, so it was still worth claiming. Some play is still under five credits, especially at dollar.
