Sweet C and I are booked for rooms and concert coming up soon to Johnny Rivers Concert at GN. Also a gift giveaway night. Look forward to checking off another 60's performer.
To my Sweet C, "Baby I Need Your Loving!" Story to follow and hopefully so VP hits. Carrie and one of the Grandkids will be there that weekend as well. Looking forward to a "rocking" weekend. Saturday is Gladys Knight.

LL, good to hear concerts on returning to your neck of the woods. In Northern Louisiana, Horseshoe Bossier City specifically, still no sign of concerts returning. Went to website and no concerts listed until November. In the past, under normal circumstances, the Riverdome at Horseshoe seemingly had a concert every weekend. Beginning to feel that we are being left out. I don't know if the reason we do not have any concerts yet is because of caution due to the pandemic or if the new regime that now is in charge is being cheap.Lucky Larry wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 8:44 pmSweet C and I are booked for rooms and concert coming up soon to Johnny Rivers Concert at GN. In any event, enjoy your concerts. We both love 60's music. The only music slightly better in our opinion is 70's music. When you do your report it will be interesting to see if there is some effort to allow for social distancing or if they pack people in like sardines. We have not been to a casino on a weekend in over a year to avoid the crowds but a good concert would tempt us to make a weekend trip now that we are both fully vaccinated. Again, enjoy. My crystal ball is telling me that there will be at least five handpays. Hope I am wrong and you get more.

I've a friend in NY who has toured as a member of many groups. While he mostly tours with Kool and the
Gang, he has been a touring member of The Temptations, the OJays, the Commodores, performed duets with Diana Ross and Mary Wilson, and most recently was part of the opening act for Frank Sinatra Jr.
He's averaged 200-250 nights on the road each year since he was a teenager in the Harlem Boys Choir.
They are starting to get their act together as far as concert tours go and he hopes to be back to semi-normal by the end of the summer.

I may have very well heard your friend and not known it. I have seen The temptations 3 times over the years and the Commodores twice.
