Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. Felt good enough today had my buddy drive me to the casino for lunch and some play. The first machine I sit at drop in a 100 and in came a 4 to the Royal!
Been 4 and a half months since my last Royal, sure felt good! Number 11 this year.
Lack of Video Poker activity, or what?

That's certainly a great way to get back into the groove. May you get a few more to ease the pain of your recovery.

Wildman, I was/am so concerned for your health I forgot to say Congrats!! So Congrats!! We have a good family friend recovering from the exact same type of Stroke you had. Working with pt on his left side as well. He had no prior health issues and is your age. He’s a tough Irish kid and I think he will do well too. I wouldn’t do any Marathons for awhile though. I need to cut them back myself and am 73 so older than you guys.

Not older than me. Then again, I haven't done marathon sessions since going to Vegas with my late wife in 2017. My cutback in activity relates to finding alternative things to do last winter. Before I would go for 1 - 1/12 hours a few days a week during the "lockdown". Since New Years, I have only been to the casino about 1/2 dozen times for 1- 1/2 hour sessions.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 9:49 amWildman, I was/am so concerned for your health I forgot to say Congrats!! I think a few of you guys have me beat in age. Funny though how Doris just stays 39 forever. Whatever she is drinking, I would like some.

My guess is that:
1) most people are playing less (and less people are playing)
2) most people are winning less (due to reduced pay tables, limited bankroll, etc.) and
3) the people who posted jackpots years ago are no longer members of VP.com or members of life and a lot of newer members don't do that so much?
I post very few of the jackpots I hit, and probably won't unless they are 10k+ or are relevant to some discussion or are an unusual hand or circumstance. I think we have all seen just about every possible 1k royal. I do still enjoy trip reports though, particularly ones with rare occurrences and amazing streaks and such.
