RE # 5 of this poll: rate of speed, hands/hour. If you are curious approx. how fast you play, log on to wizardofodds.com and click on "free-play games". Everyone might not have a VP program that records number of hands played, yet everyone can use this free site with no registration required. Six games are available: JOB, DW-NSUD, DWFP, DB, DDB, and Joker Poker. Click on to one of those games. Use your computer clock, watch or timer to time your play session. A half hour should be sufficient.  Checking the tutorial for correct play on each hand might slow you down. Getting used to playing on this site for a few minutes before timing helps. When your time is up, click on "statistics" and the number of games you played is showing along with other data about that session as number of royals, 4trees, number of nonpaying hands, etc. If playing for a half hour, double the number of hands played and you will have your hands/hour for that session. I play very fast and my rate of speed is not important to me. Sometimes a specific machine does not save a few cards that I put on hold. At which point, I force myself to slow down to make sure each hold is secure and consider changing machines. There is a lot of other useful VP info on this site.

I've gone over the pay back tables on that site but did not know they had free games.

I'll give it a try!

Yes but playing with a mouse is not even close comparision.  I can tap slap those hold buttons double handed on a machine faster than Quick Draw Mcgraw.  Best to way to calculate is to use your reward card and count your points.

I have become spoiled rotten on this site.  I have been playing VP for a long time and have been a dedicated single-line quarter DDB player.  However, I've allowed myself to move "UP" to multi-line play on this site.  Now. I've noticed that when actually in the casino...well, one single line is just not enough.  I moved over to triple play, without one single royal (in the casino) lately.  I can't wait to find quick quads in the casino.  Wonder if they will offer it at hundred play?

1. About once every 2 months on average.
2. 9/6 Jacks or Better with progressive jackpot at Bally's Atlantic City.
3. $1
4. Single line.
5. About 575 hands per hour.  It would probably be at least 600 if I didn't have to keep getting up to tell people they can't smoke in the non-smoking section and looking for security when they don't listen.
6. About 5 years, over the past 3 years I've gradually switched from mostly Blackjack to almost exclusively Video Poker.
7. Exactly 5.

8. Not sure, probably about 5-6 hours.

9. About $4,100.

10. About $1,100.

Just curious about everyone's playing habits:

1.  How often do you play VP? I make about 14 -16 weekend trips to casinos per year. Either to Vegas, Palm Springs or San Diego.

2.  What is your game(s) of choice? 1.Double Double bonus, 2. Bonus Deuces Wild, 3. Double Bonus.... it depends on the casino.

3.  At what denomination do you normally play? 25 cents, 50 cents, $1.

4.  Single line or multi-line games? Usually Single line, sometimes 3 or 5 play.

5.  What rate of speed do you play at (hands/hour)? fast... not sure. (my wife says "manic")

6.  How long have you played VP? 2+ years

7.  Approximately how many Royals to date? 23... plus one time, on a 5 line DDB I was dealt 5 royals within the first 10 minutes. Then I changed machines and ran a Double Bonus up to 2500. This was at Morongo. Security wouldn't pay me for thirty minutes, until they watched the security tapes to make sure I wasn't cheating!

8.  Longest marathon session? 12 hours

9.  Largest win in one sitting?  7500

10. Largest loss in one sitting? 1500
