Great trip so far. That shower gizmo is hysterical. I would have ended up doing the same thing you did. We have an 80 year old home and due to a minor leak inside the shower wall just had to have one wall and tile replaced and replaced it with a nice single lever Delta shower faucet and the spout below has the usual stem you pull up to have the water pressure change the direction. Here’s a pic, and of course the spout is below. Very simple even for a Dinosaur like me. I doubt I would have figured out the one where you stayed even for 5 k in free play. Heee heee.

Thank you for making the effort to post about your trip. As others have already stated, it was a very enjoyable read.

I can certainly relate to your shower story, however, I've normally been able to finally figure it out without having to resort to what you did. I simply do not understand why there are so many different ways to operate a shower.

It's ironic that you went 17 days without rain, while southwestern Ontario underwent several (I think) absolute deluges.

Was this trip one of those "bucket list" type of things, or did something else motivate you to make the effort to organize and enjoy it?

Hopefully, your stay at Caesars Windsor was as productive as several of you many other casino stops.

Thanks, again, for the trip account.

Thanks for your comments guys. This trip was planned a few times with different routes. We were originally going to go west from the Soo and stay in the northern states heading for Yellowstone, Rushmore and Deadwood. However most of the reports said those places are crowded in the summer so we decided on the route we ended up taking. Also it would have been more driving and the older I get the less I want to drive. The reason for a summer trip was to be able to go north and explore while the weather was nice.

We really did luck out with the weather and yes Onemoretry they did have ample rain back here in Ontario. Caesar Windsor was where our casino luck ran out for me as I could hit nothing. M did get a small royal but it was on 5 play nickels so not a lot of money

We always do a long drive trip in the winter where we either go to Florida or west to the Vegas, Laughlin area. Those trips involve a lot of free casino hotels so we take our time and enjoy the different casinos along the way.

We have been retired going on 14 years and have always said let’s go while we still can enjoy it and our health is good.
