LITERALLY 1 IN A 77 MILLION HIT!

Post by QuadGod »

I used to play a lot of 3 Way Action Video Poker (25c level) until all the good games got downgraded. But I just saw an unbelieveable jackpot on this game online (I wish it were mine). See LINK below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TndfZFOcJzg&t=8s (starts at 1:31 of the video)
The lady in the video was dealt 4 aces with a kicker for 30,000 credits (on the first game); then, of course, she received 12,000 credits on the second game. But, most astonishingly, she matched the 4 kicker with two more cards to receive a 4 Aces + 3 Card kicker for !20,000 credits. All totaled, she received 162,000 credits on her bet!
What on earth are the ODDS? Researching the web, the odds of getting dealt 4 aces with a kicker is 216,579 to 1. Then matching the kicker with two more cards, according to my very rudimentary math would be: (3/47 x 2/46) or 360 to 1. Assuming my math is correct, the lady's odds of hitting this hand were: 77,968,440 million to 1. Is that even possible?
Is there a poker hand anywhere that could be even more difficult that this?

The crazy thing that we never think of happens every deal. The astronomical probability of the deal on any hand falling exactly that way followed by the next hand lined up a certain way then a third deal and so forth.

Basically those odds yeah. I get 1 in 78,040,993.333. A dealt one-way sequential is just about as difficult. That's 1 in 77,968,800.

I'm probably more jealous of her magic deal hit. She sounded confused on what the hell happened. Probably first damn time she played the game.
