EDC,  Congrats on being ahead in coin.   In my limited experience any time one is ahead it is a good thing and something to savor.  Good work.

Does anyone else find they get more Royals playing less than .25 denominations?

My first ever royal was on single play nickels, after about 1 1/2 years of play.  I wasn't keeping records back then, but I probably had about 200 hours of play in before I hit it.  Way below average.  On the other hand, I hit a royal on $2 VP after about 2 hours of lifetime $2 play.  Way above average.  That $2 royal was simply a nice short-term lightning strike.

If for some reason royals were to come up at different rates based on denomination, then the expected return for a given game would differ by denomination.  Over time, if you get 90% of your hands played in on nickels and 10% on quarters you'll see 90% of your royals come up on nickel play and 10% on quarter play.

One of the things I keep track of is my average "nice hit" in points (all quads/SF/RFs) by denomination and also overall (across all denominations).  The average point value for my nice hits for each individual denomination is essentially the same as the overall average.

rng's are slower below 25c.

That's because the hamster-on-a-wheel inside every nickel machine powering the RNG is being fed sunflower seeds of lower quality than what the hamsters inside of quarter machines get.  Because of the better diet, when you get up to $1 and $2 machines those little guys are REALLY able to cruise.

I never knew why before. Thanks Cd, it all makes sense now. You the man. Them $2 machines must be living on kfc, or turnip green and cornbread.

Hey Cd, are you keeping records for resons like comps and bounce-back or just personal records? Personally, I thought each coin bought a grain pellet so the higher the denomination, the more grain pellets! Them $5 critters oughtta be gettin plenty fat!

My first royal was on a $1 machine. Most of the others on .25, a few on .10 and 1 or 2 on nickles.

You'd think if the $5 hamsters were getting fat the $5 RNG would be slower than the nickel one.  So I'm sticking with the theory that it's a better diet that keeps the $5 hamsters humming along...

I started keeping records to see if I was hitting RFs/quads/kickers in casinos as often as I would on devices that operate randomly (I do).  It's one thing to kinda-sorta accept the numbers on those that get posted from time to time, but seeing them reflected in your own results brings them to life.   The record keeping allows me to see how much play I've got in different casinos each month, and I can see if I need to get in more play to keep my comps up.

Delora calm down. There are a couple of us here that are serious. I am (not) at the top of that list. Maybe # 2 or 3.
