I was at the Caesars JOB progressive carousel grinding away, but ready to leave after a quad. Along comes a guy to my left. He inserts a fifty dollar bill. There are many amusing stories about why such bills are bad luck. I wanted to attempt some levity. I said, “Fifty dollar bills are bad luck. You’re taking a chance.” He laughed it off. I left for the dollar machines. A half hour later, I notice from my new perch that the progressive was reset to $1,000.10. I walk over and see that he had 4384 credits! I said, “I guess you hit the RF!” He nodded. “Unlucky fifty.”

Talk about dark comedy. This is pitch black. Another outstanding casino memory created. I’ve maintained for a while that I’m everyone’s good luck charm. Just play within five yards of me and you’ll win big. I just witness and chronicle. Now I know how bridesmaids feel.

So if I understand correctly what you posted, you are the opposite of a casino "Cooler"? I like movies and there was a very good film starring William H. Macy that dealt with a COOLER, someone who somehow has the ability to stop any hot streak or winning player on the casino floor.

Correct, the very opposite. I also loved The Cooler. Of course, Godfather and its immediate sequel are sublime. If there’s W2 to be written, I see them hit ‘em. Now my powers have extended to quarter prog RFs.
