$650 hit to break even, so a $900 vacuum spell. Yikes.

Always a good feeling to comeback. Hope you will stay in the green during your next trip. Glad the I-95 closure doesn't impact you. Sounds like it is going to be for quite some time.

Thanks again. They are hoping for Monday morning, That would be a huge accomplishment. Then it could take man months to rebuild the bridge over the highway.

Hell of a bailout. You were really under water.

Saved by the Clone. Of course it doesn’t always work. It seems to work best after a long dud cycle and that shouldn’t matter at all. Just like when you hit something good it shouldn’t head straight down right after that, but it almost always does. Math people will just say you are just remembering what you want to remember or that just happens that way in randomness too. Ok yes it does, but I think after 50 million VP hands, I have a good idea which direction something will go in most of the time.
For that reason, on this thread, I am going to start posting my highest up amount as well as my ending result. I have done that twice already. This is the second time. I know all about EV and how none of the above will effect long term results, but I am determined to show and I know that I can that a hit and run strategy is in general the best medicine. Exceptions of course.
In the above bailout example ( again very lucky ) the Clone had taken me up to bet 13. My bet went up one unit if after losing 5 hands without a winning hand. ( pushes ignored ) If at any point before I lost 5 hands, my credits exceeded what I began with for that cycle, I stepped back one unit. If I had one winning hand even if it was on the fifth deal, but a small one, I would just begin another sequence of five.

:geek: Next trip is planned for Sunday evening. If I stick with a 98.91 Deuces Wild game, with my 25 in free play, and the probability of another 100 in free play ( triple status point night ) my EV for that night should be 100 percent or just over. I may be able to snag another 25 in free play by using the wife’s card too if it makes goal. I will try and remember to post my highest up amount at the end of the session. I would love to practice the Clone play on this site too, but their programs won’t let the Bets go over 5 per line. Webman has no immediate plans to change the program to allow bets of up to 25 per line.
I know I won’t, but even if I flat bet 1.25 at 600 hands per hour for 8 hours and can max out my free play at 150, I will have a session EV of 101.47 ( not taking into account that the free play is not really 150 bucks, but more like 148 bucks and change ).

There are other expenses too which I will just chalk up to entertainment. 10 bucks in gas. That’s all the Elantra is so great on gas., easily 35 bucks in tips of all sorts not counting hand pays, and if I win a hand pay, I might hand out another 20 or so there and another 20 or so in fives to any of my favorite employees I may run into just because. Then of course my trip to the animal shelter the next day. All just part of stuff I like to do. The Elantra will give me 44 mpg at 70 mph and if I chance getting run off the road at 62 mph, it will give me 52 mpg. That’s all gas by the way. Not a hybrid. Getting political just for a moment, I will buy another one tomorrow unless Biden or my State Governor bans gas powered cars or taxes them to death before I wear out this one. I better stop before I get up on my soap box and if I do, you won’t get me off of it. 😂

For comparison, expenses at my local casino are negligible. Since my hybrid was totaled, I drive my van which gets about 20 mpg. Figuring $4,00 a gallon, my 4-mile roundtrip gas cost is 80 cents. That is offset by the free, self-serve soft drink and coffee machines. Tipping is ad-hoc but less than at a restaurant.

My post quad experiences are generally very harsh too over many trials. I just shut down play totally or switch to an adjacent machine hoping that the bank/carousel is in give mode. I just got an old coin clicker hand held gadget to help me log whether I’ve had five consecutive Ls triggering a net uptick.

The teacher used to use one of those in Grammar school to tell the kid running the slide projector when to change slides. c. 1957.
