Not true where I gamble. One casino here in MN has no good games in the non-smoking area and the other has none at the denoms I play (and only 4 machines total out of 125 with the best paytable).

Just before I left Vegas I checked the new non-smoking area at Sam's and no good games once again (7/5 BP was the best). At the Fiesta Henderson they have a few non-smoking banks and all of the games are poor.

Good thing my wife trained me to be tolerant of smoke.

all ac will be non by october.i don't mind smoking as i jogged 5 mi./day in military, and have good lungs, however me wife has asthma, and dislikes it.usually when someone smokes beside her, she'll bat at the smoke, and they say sorry, and switch cig. to other side away from her, which is thoughtful.

Shadow, you could stand outside of Sams and still smell cigarettes. Reminds me alot of Terribles and Boulder Station and I smoke. Sams having a non-smoking area is kinda oxymoronic. Great idea but they should've built a separate area that isn't already smoked up.

I have no problem stepping outside to have a smoke.  Or is it... I have a problem and need to step outside to have a smoke?

I have to tell you, even as a smoker I can appreciate establishments that are non-smoking.  I like to smoke on my own terms. But whatever. I know plenty of people that are the opposite.

As I mentioned previously in this thread, I'm a smoker and I agree with you and Ed.   Trying to split sections of any enclosed area into smoking/non-smoking really doesn't work.

One thing I'm grateful for is TITO.  If our smoking ban here in CO had begun in the coin-dropper days I'd be doing a lot of whining about having to cash out before going outside for a smoke.  As it is, I'm sure at some point I'll forget to take my ticket with me when I go out, and someone will snag my credits.  THEN you'll hear whining.

Michigan is joining the Ban-Wagon. The Indian casinos are not included. Whatever! Same old tired jack jawing from those in favor and those against. I simply give up.

Faygo, I'm quite sure that is their intentions. Regardless of whether one dies from second-hand smoke or  from cancer and blaming second-hand smoke, we all have vices, one of course is VP. Just some of us happened to pick up an extra vice that not everyone agrees with. At some point in time, they will ban smoking in all public places period! But continue to sell cigs in all banned locations though! What a racket!
