Triple Double Bonus Poker

Post by VP Player »

I've recently discovered 25 cent Triple Double Bonus Poker and it's fast becoming my favorite video poker game.

In preparing for my upcoming visit to Las Vegas, my research has shown that there are only a few casinos in Las Vegas that offer this game.

I know that its EV is just under 100% and that it can have high volitility.

Anyone else have any experience or feedback about this particular game?

If you get AAA, 222, 333, or 444 hold the kicker also if you get one. The added bonus for the jackpot makes holding the kicker the correct strategy.

I like the Triple double bonus game. It is very volitile. Most of the Las Vegas Casinos now have it in some form. In order to play this game  you have to be able to take a loss and be able to ride out the down swings.  If not you are better off playing double double. Does anyone know of 100% payback machines in Las Vegas?

The best I have ever seen for TDB is the 9/7 game at the Suncoast. With the recent downgrades there, I cannot say with certainty if the games are still there.

I spent many hours playing this game (triple play) at Motor City in
Detroit until they changed their paytables. It is very volatile and I
had some great nights and some nights where I just got killed, but I
also love that game. The 4000 coin win is a good high! They also have
the game at MGM in Detroit on several different machines, including a
game that pays a premium on the dealt hand (can't remember the game but
it is addicting).

Southpoint (formerly Southcoast) has 9-7 TDB in multi-play machines (located throughout the casino in many denoms). Personally I prefer the SDB game in these machines, as it has a slightly higher payback and is somewhat less volatile.

Also, I believe Silverton has TDB as one of the games on the Bob Dancer approved machines. Several denoms.

The only VP machine where I have seen this option is one manufactured by Atronic (A European company). In this particular case the game was called Two Jacks Wild, but I suspect they have other types of games as well. Maybe you could provide a few more details about the graphics, etc. as that may well be a tip off.

I've never seen this in IGT or Bally machines, but maybe it just wasn't activated.
