VP and Comps in LV

Post by Tiven »

Hello,im pretty new to this forum, so i hope my questions don't seem to stupid..My question is, if it could be a good deal for me to learn perfectplay VP to make a good deals with the Casinos in form of Comps( Free rooms, meals etc.) I mean paying 50$in -EV, for getting a 200$ room for free seems pretty nice for me. Anybody any experience with the comps the LV Strip Casinos offer for VP players? Is there a problem when the casinos see via the trackplay that a player doesnt loose alot, just the minimum? Is probably playing BlackJack the better way for the comps? Thanks in advance

Suggested reading: Jean Scott's "Frugal Gambling" and "More Frugal Gambling". These books discuss the topics you ask about.

From what I've heard VP is much better for getting comps than BJ or other table games. The daily coin-in has risen over the years for getting free rooms and meals but is stll not too bad. I think $10K/day ($50 EV in 9/6 JOB) will do it in many casinos (up to 30K in others). You should contact your casino host and pump them for as much information as possible.

I wouldn't worry too much about win/loss tracking as casinos understand the volatility of their games. That could change in the future.

Also, keep in mind there are some nice casinos off the strip as well. They have better games and some of them have shuttles to/from the strip. Since I live in LV I don't get to the strip very often so I can't help you with the games but a good place to look is:

I live in Vegas and love going to the strip. I am not a high roller but have found that regular play will give you really good comps especially with the Harrah's casinos. Since , the Rio, Harrah's. Flamingo, Bally;s Ceasar's Paris all use the same players card, it is easy to accumulate comp ponts. We travel cross country with the Harrah's system and it is great.

Suggested reading:  [snipped] There you'll come to understand that comps and cash back and all the fluff associated with slot club cards is only to the advantage of the casino. You learn to play when, where and why you want and you'll take that casino advantage away from them. That's not to say you shouldn;t use your card because you should. Just don't chase promos, extra point days, giveaways and specials that are only ther to rope in as many "advantage players" as casinos can possibly sucker in. They are the ones who help maintain the local casinos and they are the ones who help build all the beautiful resorts you see continuously popping up around town.

Oops!  what'didya think....that the promotions were there because out of the kindness of their hearts, the casinos felt like giving away money 3-4 days a week?

What do they call someone who thinks everyone else is obsessed with them?

You just can't seem to mention me without some form of name calling (fool, spanked, jealous).
