The thing I can't figure is how he managed to get quad A's with a 3kicker bonus jackpot while playing "BP?"
There was no kicker hit on BP. The kicker was hit after "blowing through BP," which would indicate moving to another game type with a kicker.

I hate to correct you, WM, but your copy of the e-letter must have been garbled - games with kickers aren't on his menu any more.  Hm, I guess my copy was garbled also.    My favorite was the opening Aces w/kicker on hand #12, with "the only significant thing" being a disgusted attendant on the handpay who didn't get a tip.  The twelfth hand would be less than a minute of play; in my own 15 years of playing I've hit Aces w/kicker in the first minute of single line play 3-4 times.  Last time for me was two years ago, and it was dealt.

I'm still waiting on the official announcement from him that thousands of dollars are no longer necessary for training sessions - just a bit of free play, with $100-$200 in pocket money to cover any unusually bad dry spells during training sessions at $2 play.  Maybe that will be in the next e-letter.

I was also sad to read in that e-letter (or the previous one) that the flip "testing" () is completed.  It would have been nice to know at what point in the future the unrandom-plus-rigged-for-flips machines get set back to the normal rigged-unrandom mode.   So many questions left unanswered about that.  How widespread is it?  Why weren't multiline machines "tested" ()?  Are all denominations affected, or just nickels?  Full bets affected, or just one coin bets?  I hope in the next "testing" () for, uh, whatever, that he's a bit more thorough in both the testing itself and the record-keeping.  Kind of lax and sloppy on this go-round.

I hope at some point in time one or more game companies donate an unrigged-random machine or two to the Smithsonian that comply with published regulations so that we can see the difference in play between them and the machines in casinos.

I would never imply that WM was making an error!  My minimalist memory recalls him holding a solo A rather than the TJKA offsuit which would be the correct hold and drawing the other three A's for a $1600 profit since he bet 10 coins instead of five. He then mentioned that he held two A's and up popped the other two A's with a 3 kicker. It's remotely possible that he switched to DDB at the higher level but he didn't mention changing games, only denom. CD is correct in noting that he no longer plays games with "kicker payouts as I recall. Kinda contradicting since he also posted playing some TDB which does have "kicker" payouts.

I checked my copy of the e-letter and saw that the copies WM and I got were both garbled on the subject of kicker games.  What are the odds of that?

More late night ruminations from CD-Land:  I mentioned in my last post that there must be at least three versions of all game software - random that complies with published legal regulations; normal rigged unrandom allowed in secret illegal regulations (), and rigged unrandom with "flips" ().  Given that, don't the people writing game software get a little schizophrenic?  At the least, it has to be pretty confusing.

What happens if a casino is found to have machines meeting the standards in the published legal regulations?  Because that violates the secret illegal regulations, is the casino fined?  Can it lose its license?  Can a casino manager go to jail because his or her machines meet the standards in the published regulations?

What's the deal with this the-less-you-play-the-more-you-get CB/BB while at the same time not comping drinks for players to save money?  The same writer writes about both.  Doesn't make sense to me that casinos would do the first but not the second.  Maybe I'll stay at home and watch my comps go up-and up- and UP!

If he just held only dealt aces and nothing else ever, he would still not hit quad aces as much as he says.

All boils down to fibs. No one believes fibs except tenn barry.

Sure just trust me on this one bozo.

Venetian & Harrah's do info sharing.

Some employees have SOs who work at other casinos.

Other active VP players may tell staff about jackpots they saw yesterday/today at other casinos.

There aren't that many big players, so if I mention a jackpot on a certain machine. staff sometimes can guess who hit the jackpot at the other casino.

P.S. Someone hit $3 million on VP at Bellagio a few weeks ago, and it may have been the same person who hit $400,000 at Caesar's Palace earlier on Friday. This is my first time posting on a video poker board. Have there been any other weekends with wins over $3.4 million? What are the biggest VP wins of all time?
