Full house missing on deal in 100 hand

Post by ejs9114 »

Am I the only players, in some 4 hours of playing, has yet to be dealt a hand higher than a flush on the deal.  Is this really a random number chip?  I'm just a trial member, but while playing 100 hand for hours, at least one full house would have been dealt.  At casinos, it happens quite often.

A FH is dealt once in every 694 hands on average. Since 100-play is typically slow I suspect you would be playing at no better than 400 hands an hour or around 1600 total hands. You should have seen 2+ dealt FHs in that time, however, not seeing any is certainly not unusual by any means.
For example, I've now gone over 15,000 hands in a real casino with seeing a single 4RF (average once every 2777 hands). I should have seen more than 5.

Here's a link to some dealt hand cycle times:

Faygo, you must have missed the word "dealt". You are referring to the overall cycle time. There are 13 possible dealt 5trees. 2598960/13 = 199920 hands.

S-man, you forgot to adjust for the 53-card deck (instead of the normal 52) when the Joker is added.  The dealt cycle time for 5-trees in AC Joker is 2,869,685/13 = 220,745, about 5 1/2 weeks of 40 hour per week pounding if you play 1000 hands per hour.  Still a very long time.Since you can play faster than that, it is understandable that your cycle time would be shorter.

New2vp, right you are. It also ups the value for a dealt RF. Good thing I play with only a 52 card deck so I don't have to wait so long.

From what I've read, you always are playing with a full deck, unlike some of those you've had to school now and then.
