dealt trips in Holiday contest not leading to 4OAK

I am unfamiliar with dream card poker have not played it except in the contest. Perhaps I misunderstand the description of it when it says "In other words, players can count on a 4-of-a-kind in place of a 3-of-a-kind on the deal!" I took that to mean you can not simply be dealt trips (at least when they are in the first four cards), the dream card would activate and deal you the 4th. But I have been dealt trips in the first three spots (including trip A).

There is never a guarantee in any video poker game where you are promised a 4 of a kind when dealt a 3 of a kind. Dream Card just makes it POSSIBLE to get dealt a 4 of a kind in lieu of a 3 of a kind, but it is never guaranteed.

Dream card is just a variation on the "perfect world" scenario whereby you get dealt the three of a kind "but wouldn't it be great if I got dealt the 4 of a kind instead?".
