Had a chance to talk to some of the in-know executives at Isle in Lake Charles.

Here's the update. Video poker machines are being added to the second boat to increase draw.

Video poker is also being moved on the main boat to second floor open area (swapping with tables to create a more secure high limits area.) The former finance man for competitor Lauberge is the new Isle CEO and it reported he trying to lure whales from Lauberge. So new carpets, new high limits area, $100 slots, etc.    

Consideration is being given to raising the pay returns on VP to better compete with Lauberge du Lac, and the new casino.

A third Lake Charles casino has been approved by gaming commission with necessary approval from citizen later this month.

Interestingly. the third casino is being created by the former CEO of Pinnacle (who owns Lauberge du Lac) until we was forced to quit due to some closed door political dealing over a Missouri casino license. He's back with a $400 million casino/spa/resort planned to be located next the Lauberge. Pinnacle had originally planned a sister casino to be built next to Lauberge but the plan was killed after the former CEO was removed. Two years for construction but drawing are being shown around in Lake Charles.

Isle personnel said they were told they had two years to establish and firm up market share before the new casino opened up. Remodeling, improving pay tables, ect are in the works.
